Great!Maimunata
I was there few months ago, meal was delicious. A little slow because of crowd from big African event that night. Overall I will say execellent service.

OkayAnon
This is a great restaurant in the sense that the food is authentic, delicious, and very affordable. However, like most African restaurants the service is horrible. This, alas, is to be expected. What is not expected is the way the deal with the bill. IF YOU COME HERE, BRING CASH!!! I don' t know what city they are operating in, but it isn't New York. Our table of four received a bill of 57 USD, gratuity of 21% was added, bringing our bill to 65.34 USD. Tax was not added. We chose to pay by credit card. The waitress was incapable of doing the math to divide the payment onto two cards, so we did it for her. She returned having lost one card AND having charged us 84 USD. When we questioned the bill, she explained to us that New York had a 22% tax. Consequently, she added, for no reason whatsoever, more than 40% to our bill. We canceled the charge and decided to pay with cash. At this point, since the did not charge us tax, it was again a good deal, with (in our minds) 8.25% of the 21% mandatory gratuity going to tax and and the remaining 12.75% representing a poor tip for terrible service.
